RIBA PART II

WORK ARCHIVE

‘Future Agora’ was the project I completed in Stage 2. It began with a brief that focused on what life would be when the need to work becomes redundant.

I investigated human needs, nature, historical facts. I became aware of the importance of bringing people together, spending time as a community and the feeling of a sense of beloinging that comes with it. Using this research and the local features of the site in Rotherhithe, such as the topography, I designed a space that allows users to experience a difference in atmosphere while circulating the building. By creating a building that also serves as landmark the project positively transformed the mostly derelict area.
